Company information
Company profile
Incorporated in 1994, Shah Investor's Home Ltd. is a retail broking company that provides services like equity and derivatives trading. It helps customers buy and sell financial products such as shares, IPOs, mutual funds, and other securities. The company mainly focuses on secondary market services for retail investors, including both resident and non-resident Indians, and also offers additional services like mutual fund distribution, margin funding, and stock lending and borrowing under the brand name “Shah Investors.” As of March 31, 2025, the company manages over 100,000 demat accounts with more than 37,810 active clients and works with over 184 authorised partners. It operates through 11 branches across cities like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Junagadh, Gandhinagar, and Rajkot.
Strengths
- Strong Regional Client Base: The company has developed a large retail customer base across Gujarat, with a presence in several cities as well as Mumbai. Its established regional network supports its reach among retail investors.
- Established Track Record: Shah Investor’s Home has been operating since 1994 and has built experience in the retail broking industry. Its operating history supports its understanding of customer needs and business operations.
- Technology-Enabled Services: The company uses technology to improve customer experience and deliver brokerage and financial services efficiently. Its technology-enabled approach supports customers through its branches and authorised-person network.
Risk factors
- Dependence on Broking Revenue & Gujarat: The broking segment contributed 64.78%, 68.90% and 71.60% of revenue in FY2026, FY2025 and FY2024, respectively. Gujarat accounted for 93.74%, 93.30% and 93.53% of this revenue, making the company dependent on both its broking business and the Gujarat market.
- Regulatory & Compliance Risk: The company operates under various statutory and regulatory requirements. Any non-compliance or unfavourable changes in regulations could lead to regulatory action and negatively impact its business and financial condition.
- Dependence on Authorised Persons: The company relies on its network of Authorised Persons to support operations and expand its customer reach. Losing a significant number of them or being unable to grow the network could affect the business, while certain lapses by Authorised Persons may also create liability for the company.
