Company information
Company profile
Johnsoncab Electricals Limited, incorporated in November 2020, manufactures low-voltage wires and cables rated up to 1.1 kV for power infrastructure, transmission and distribution, renewable energy, railways and other industrial applications. The company markets its products under the “JOHNSON CABLES” brand and serves both private-sector customers and government entities. Its diversified product portfolio includes control cables, power cables, industrial single-core and multicore control cables, housing and building wires, welding cables, solar and photovoltaic cables, and submersible flat cables. The company operates two manufacturing facilities in Mehsana, Gujarat, with a combined installed capacity of 79,950 kilometres per annum as of Fiscal 2026. These facilities are equipped with machinery for wire drawing, annealing, bunching, insulation, extrusion, testing and packaging. Johnsoncab Electricals supplies its products through direct orders, tender participation and vendor approval processes, with its products supported by ISO and BIS certifications. The company continues to develop its manufacturing infrastructure and product range to support business growth and meet customer requirements. As of March 31, 2026, it employed 167 people across production, operations, quality assurance, sales and marketing, supply chain, finance, administration and other functions.
Strengths
- Scalable Revenue Growth: The Company has consistently increased its revenue from operations over the last three fiscals, demonstrating the scalability of its business model and its ability to expand manufacturing output to meet growing demand.
- Continued Infrastructure Investment: The Company has continued to upgrade its manufacturing facilities with automatic and semi-automatic machinery, strengthening its production capabilities to support future growth.
- Diversified Customer Base: The Company serves both government and private sector customers, securing orders through tenders and vendor approval processes. Its established vendor approvals also support participation in government tenders.
Risk factors
- Raw Material Supplier Dependence: The Company does not have long-term agreements with most raw material suppliers and purchases materials on a short-term basis, exposing it to supply disruptions and price fluctuations. In Fiscal 2026, the cost of goods sold accounted for 85.12% of revenue.
- Customer Concentration: The Company depends significantly on a limited number of customers, with its top 10 customers contributing 66.24% of revenue from operations in Fiscal 2026. Losing key customers could adversely affect its business and operating performance.
- Employee Attrition and Labour Risk: The Company’s manufacturing operations are labour-intensive, with employee attrition rates of 13.67%, 5.52% and 28.30% in Fiscals 2026, 2025 and 2024, respectively. Employee turnover, strikes or wage disputes could disrupt operations and negatively affect profitability.
