Company information
Company profile
Incorporated in April 1994, Acme Universal Safezone 9 Ltd. manufactures industrial safety footwear under the “ACME” brand and operates in the personal protective equipment (PPE) segment. As of March 31, 2026, the company runs five manufacturing facilities across Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and distributes its products through institutional sales, dealers, distributors, and online channels with a wide presence across more than 40 cities in India. Its footwear is designed for various industrial hazards using materials like EVA rubber, nitrile rubber, and PVC, meeting standards such as IS 15298, EN ISO 20345, and ASTM F2413. The company also exports to multiple international markets including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the Netherlands, and as of September 30, 2025, it has a workforce of 1,125 employees across different functions.
Strengths
- Large Manufacturing Network: The company operates five manufacturing facilities across Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Its in-house production covers leather cutting, upper assembly, lasting, sole injection, finishing and packaging, supported by warehousing and dispatch facilities.
- Advanced Automation & Technology: The company uses automated Desma PU direct injection and Orisol stitching machines, along with SAP S/4 HANA-based monitoring, triple-density manufacturing, Phylon rubber processing and Surge Sense technology. These systems help improve production consistency and reduce dependence on manual processes.
- Wide Product Range & Quality Standards: The company manufactures 15 product lines using EVA-rubber, Nitrile Rubber and PVC soles. Its products follow safety standards such as IS 15298, EN ISO 20345 and ASTM F2413 , along with SEDEX SMETA , supported by in-house R&D and product testing capabilities.
Risk factors
- Geographical Revenue Concentration: Despite having a PAN-India presence, the company generates a significant share of revenue from certain states. Political, regional or competitive changes, or weaker demand in these markets, could affect revenue and profitability.
- Work Order Performance Risk: Failure to meet customers’ required quality, design or performance standards could lead to business loss, contract termination, non-renewal, compensation claims or liquidated damages. Additional costs may also arise from specified materials, product requirements or customer claims.
- Pending Fire NOCs: Three Fire NOC applications for manufacturing facilities in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are still pending. Delays or rejection in obtaining these approvals could disrupt operations and affect the company’s business.
